USI Information
All students will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) reference number made up of numbers and letters. This USI will allow every student who undertakes nationally recognised vocational education and training (VET) in Australia to be able to access their enrolment and achievement record from a single source.
Further information about the USI is available here. www.usi.gov.au
The USI must be provided to training providers such as Correct Training Systems before the student can receive a statement of attainment or qualification certificate.
The individual student has control over the USI and can determine who can have access to the personal and educational records associated with it. The student and training providers must protect that USI and training records from misuse or unauthorised access. The USI will be stored by the Student Identifiers Agency, along with some personal information about the student, such as name, date of birth and a way of contacting the student such as an email address and phone number
Any student completing the following Correct Training Systems nationally recognised training will need a USI number and grant permission for Correct Training Systems to access and record the details of training courses when the student completes the course. Correct Training Systems offers the following courses as recognised training – that will require a USI number from every student.
CTS training products that require a USI number:

Correct Training Systems will be unable to issue a Statement of Attainment until the student has created a USI and granted permission for Correct Training Systems RTO organisation number 88118 to access the students USI and training records.
